Lee and I purchased the Seven Peaks Pass of All Passes on http://www.dealsthatmatter.com/. It's one of those sites that give you sweet deals on stuff around your neighborhood (it's like Groupon, Living Social Deals, KSL Deals, etc).  We bought it because of all the Real Salt Lake soccer games we could go to and because we're cheap!

In order to redeem the pass, we had to go into Seven Peaks (formerly known as Raging Waters) and get our picture taken for a card.

We walked into this sketchy-looking trailer with a row of pimply teenagers in front of computers.  They were entering people's data into the Pass of All Passes database as they walked in.  They take your coupon, ask a bunch of personal information, type it in, then ask you to pay a couple dollars on taxes for the pass.

I know, I know, it sounds questionable, doesn't it?

I can see a headline now--Thousands "Tax" Scammed by Seven Peaks Teen Mastermind.

I digress.

I was first in line, so I gave her my info and had my picture taken.  The girl helping me held up a portable webcam, straight above her head and brought it to my level (standing) and fidgeted a few seconds figuring out where to aim the webcam.  She told me to smile and took the picture.

Apparently, Lee, who was a few steps behind me in line, was totally lost at what the girl was doing when she held the webcam straight up in the air.  He had no idea that she was trying to take a picture or what she even had in her hand.

Hence, the somewhat puzzled look on his face.

  1. Sorry Lee, but you look a teensy bit like a STALKER! I mean that in the nicest way, of course. :)

  2. I can't help myself from laughing so hard at this post. My wife comes from out of the bathroom brushing her teeth and said "Troy I think you have a man crush on Lee". Needless to say this story is hilarious and I can't wait to read the scam on KLS knowing I saw it first on your blog Lee and Winter. By the way St George is going to be warming up soon so we need to get down there fast. Call me and lets plan this trip ASAP!!! Love you guys!!!
