How We Met

Hello!

What he said:
How we met, that is a very good question because only I know the true story. Don’t ask winter because she was so head-over-heels for me when she first saw me that she doesn't remember it too correctly. My roommate, Mccall asked if I wanted to go to something called dinner group with him and I went.

I didn't know anyone at this little get-together and I wasn't really sure if it would be kosher for me to be my “normal self” and we all know that that means. So, I sat on the couch just listening. Maybe ten minutes into the evening a real looker came and sat herself down next to me and started to put on her socks, argyle socks.

Names were exchanged and small talk continued about how I was wearing argyle socks and she was wearing argyle socks, we should be boyfriend and girlfriend. To my surprise she said yes. Now, I was a little shocked by her answer. Come on! Who really wants to be my girlfriend. Before she left to go to another dinner party I asked her if I could have her phone number, because we were now boyfriend and girlfriend, I only thought it would be proper for me to ask her out on a real date.

What she said:

I was running late, waiting for some rolls to finish baking for a dinner club party I was attending at a place down the street.  My roommate, Laura, was hosting a dinner club at our place and people started to arrive.

There was a guy that was sitting on our couch that I didn't recognize wearing black glasses, which I thought were fun.  So I sat next to him and asked him who he was. He said his name was Lee. I asked what he was doing in his life and he said that he was going to school, but had taken the semester off to go trekking in Nepal with his dad. Wow! How cool is that!

He then said something that took me by complete surprise.  He said, "I noticed you like argyle socks. I do too. I think it's a sign that we should be boyfriend and girlfriend." Ha ha! So to surprise him, I said ok, knowing I would be leaving shortly to this other party. He suggested that we cuddle since we were now boyfriend and girlfriend. Ha ha! So we cuddled and continued to talk. He asked if we were going to continue cuddling and I said we didn't have to if he didn't want to. He, of course, said he wanted to.  The oven timer went off and I got my rolls out of the oven and was about to leave. Before I left, Lee did get my phone number and we went out a week later.  And the rest is history!
